Working closely with Gilbane, the project’s general contractor, the project required effective coordination and communication to ensure quality and adherence to design intent.
Through collaboration with the owner and construction manager, the team successfully navigated the complexities of a CM/GC delivery method while maintaining schedule and budget goals.
The scope of work included comprehensive electrical systems such as service, lighting, power distribution, fire alarm, technology, access control, and CCTV. The addition and renovation setting presented challenges including numerous change orders and adapting to the unique conditions of an active university environment. Despite these challenges, the project delivered a modern, efficient space that supports Ohio State’s commitment to excellence in education and research.
