Powering Columbus’ Future Water

Dublin Road Water Plant

Dublin Road Water Plant

The Dublin Road Water Plant Phase 4 project in Columbus, Ohio, was a large-scale addition and renovation effort for the City of Columbus within the water and wastewater treatment market. Spanning 36 months and totaling $16,782,671, this project focused on modernizing critical systems and expanding infrastructure to support reliable water treatment operations for the community.

Working closely with Kokosing Industrial, the project’s contractor, and CH2MHill, the project engineer, the team coordinated across multiple disciplines to ensure seamless execution.

Collaboration with the project owner played a key role in navigating the challenges associated with both the extended duration and the complex nature of addition/renovation work. Through consistent communication and careful planning, the team-maintained progress without compromising quality.

The project scope included complete system upgrades to the existing facility, covering service, lighting, power distribution, fire alarm, and technology. Work took place across multiple areas, including the HPS and LPS pump building, Raw Water Intake, Return Sludge Building, Chemical Building, and a new Ion Exchange processing building. Despite the scale and complexity of the renovation, the entire project was completed without any interruption of service to the customer, successfully delivering enhanced efficiency and improved facility reliability.
