Columbus Diesel Supply

When Columbus Diesel Supply was looking for a new home in early 2011, they came to the teams of SME and Brexton to renovate the old Delta Marina on the eastside of Columbus. The project design was driven by all the existing and new specialty equipment, along with expanding specific work areas that has made Columbus Diesel a world leader in diesel parts, service, and maintenance.

SME was responsible for the design and installation of a new 800 Amp three phase service which feeds all of the specialty work areas. SME not only designed and installed lighting and power to Columbus Diesel’s machine shop, vehicle repair, cleaning, milling and test station areas, but we also created custom strut racks for the diesel rail testing stations. SME upgraded the existing office lighting and installed energy efficient T-5 Hi-Bay light fixtures in Columbus Diesel’s operations area.

The construction portion of the project was completed in approximately three months with a crew of six SME team members.
