Scholarship
SME believes in personal growth and advancement, so in support these endeavors SME has two scholarships set up in the name of Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer William L. Muter for SME employees and their families, as well as, the general public for degrees relating to the field of construction or electrical.
Bill’s commitment to professional development at SME is evident in his voluntary role as the company’s Director of Education and Apprenticeship Training. He continues to provide invaluable mentoring services to the management professionals at SME and to his peers/colleagues across the industry. Bill is widely regarded for his business acumen and is often recognized by his peers – for over 17 years through his election to the Board of Independent Electrical Contractors.
The scholarships are through the Business Exchange of Central Ohio and the Associated General Contractors of Ohio.
There are some qualifications to be eligible for these scholarships.
- Graduating high school seniors and current college/technical school students may apply.
You will be evaluated on:
- Their demonstrated commitment to the field of construction
- Their potential impact on the industry in Central Ohio
- Their financial need
