Potters House
The expansion and site improvements of The Potters House Church of God are one of SME’s top Design/Build electrical projects. The $437,000 project was a 28,000 square foot sloped floor sanctuary addition to the existing 36,000 square foot facility. SME provided engineered electrical plans from design meetings with the architect, (WSA Studios), the church, the sound and lighting engineering firms that were contracted through the church.
The project consisted of installing a new 1600 amp 277/480v 3 phase service to accommodate the theatrical lighting, power, sound, video and HVAC system requirements. In addition, a fire alarm system was installed in the entire facility.
The electrical system was designed to accommodate future expansion of the sanctuary and for the future addition of classrooms to the church.
The sanctuary was designed to have studio quality for weekly services, so SME worked closely with Brexton Construction to wire sanctuary lighting and dimming controls, along with video and sound systems.
